This week/Next Year

This is it for my juniors! TAKS week and they have to pass all of the tests to graduate. All of the other kids not testing, do not have to be at school until 12:00 pm. The only day I am proctoring a test is on Thursday from 7:35 am to 12:00 pm, and that is it. Today, Wednesday and Friday I have from 7:35 am until 12:00 pm to work on things I need to do in my room. Today I worked on my lesson plan book that I am supposed to turn in at the end of the year. I work on my calendar to which I keep on my computer and printed them up to put in the book. It looks like next year I am teaching AP World History! my dream job!!!! I have to get my class syllabus in my June 1st. Wow! My Principal came to me yesterday and told me I was one of two teachers teaching it and I need to get this submitted to the college board and to set up an appointment with him next week, to discuss expectations and why I was chosen!! I think this is great!! I am so excited about this opportunity. I have been warned to watch the kids becuase they will cheat. That is so sad to me that they do that, they are the smarter kids and know better, but they think nothing of it, like it is no big deal. What are they being taught at home? I always wonder about that.
